Finding a mediation style you don't hate with Dr. Jeff Tarrant

In this episode Kelly talks with Dr. Jeff Tarrant  owner of the NeuroMeditation Institute and author of Meditation Interventions to rewire the brain.  As a  lifelong spiritual seeker, Dr. Tarrant has studied and practiced Zen Buddhism, Vipassana Buddhism, Kabbalah, Yoga, Qigong/Taiji Chuan/Taoism, Native American and Earth-based spiritual practices and Arhatic Yoga.Dr. Tarrant’s clinical work has largely focused on technology-based interventions and various tools to measure the brain/body to develop interventions and practices to help the nervous system become more flexible and adaptive.

Kelly talks with Jeff about the 4 meditation styles and why regular old mediation might not be what’s best for YOU.  In fact, attempting to practice a style of meditation that isn’t right for you can actually worsen symptoms and steer us further away from a meditation practice leaving us frustrated and irritated.

Kelly and Jeff also dive into the exciting and promising world of psychedelic assisted therapy and personal transformation through plant medicine.
